IBM and Statica Migration FAQ’s

IBM is merging its cloud services with IBM Bluemix and creating a new platform, IBM Cloud, and they have invited providers like Statica to join them on the new IBM Cloud platform.

Here’s a little background on the change : “Bluemix is now IBM Cloud”

At this time, we do not have plans to support IBM’s Cloud efforts going forward.

IBM recently updated their blog post with new information for eliminative downtime during the transition. You can go directly to the source article for how to sign up for QuotaGuard.com and migrate your IBM solution.

Additionally, if you send us an email to our Support, we’ll make a note of your plans to migrate with us and be able to reach out to you if we have any questions about your setup.

We know that many customers are concerned their IBM Bluemix Statica Static IP Addresses will have to change.

Customers can make this transition without changing IP addresses, we’ll just need a little coordination with each customer when we transition. To get started, just write us at QuotaGuard Support.

The branding was different for a few years, but we decided to tame that beast and bring everything under one universal brand.

QuotaGuard” is the brand our service uses on Heroku and via our Direct Signup service, but we’re trying to simplify everyone’s lives and get everything back to the same branding so there’s less confusion in the marketplace.

Therefore, we’re taking the opportunity during this IBM platform change to also rebrand “Statica” back to “QuotaGuard” too.

Not at all, we’re just rebranding as QuotaGuard.

QuotaGuard” is the brand our service uses on Heroku and via our Direct Signup service, but we’re trying to simplify everyone’s lives and get everything back to the same branding so there’s less confusion in the marketplace.

No, we have no plans to change/increase the cost of our service on IBM. Nor do we plan on any service charges to help with the migration.

Your budget projections should not change unless you chose a different package with the new service.
