Keygen officially uses QuotaGuard to provide dedicated static destination IPs for firewall-restricted access to Keygen Cloud. Enterprise customers can allowlist a small, stable address set while Keygen continues operating its licensing and distribution API on dynamic cloud infrastructure.

Keygen officially uses QuotaGuard to provide dedicated static destination IPs for firewall-restricted access to Keygen Cloud. Eligible Keygen Cloud customers request the option through Keygen, receive a replacement API hostname backed by up to two static IP addresses, and add every supplied address to the enterprise firewall.

  • Keygen's documented provider: Keygen names QuotaGuard directly in its official static-IP documentation. This is the infrastructure behind Keygen's established Ent-tier option, not a theoretical compatibility claim.
  • A small, stable destination allowlist: Enterprise customers approve the QuotaGuard-backed addresses instead of treating Keygen's normal dynamic cloud addresses as a permanent firewall list.
  • Provisioned through Keygen: Keygen supplies the correct account-specific hostname and addresses. The customer changes the Keygen API base URL while Keygen remains the product vendor and support contact.
  • No customer-operated network appliance: The enterprise customer does not need to deploy a VPN, reverse-proxy VM, load balancer, or custom gateway merely to reach the Keygen API.
  • Managed infrastructure: QuotaGuard operates the static network identity and forwarding infrastructure, including availability, health monitoring, capacity, maintenance, load balancing, failover, and after-hours incident ownership.
  • Existing security controls remain: The stable destination satisfies the firewall requirement without replacing Keygen authentication, TLS, license validation, authorization, or other application-level controls.
  • A repeatable SaaS product model: SaaS companies can use the same QuotaGuard inbound-proxy pattern to give their own enterprise customers a stable destination without moving the application or operating proxy infrastructure themselves.
  • Shared or dedicated architecture: Standard direct QuotaGuard plans provide managed inbound capability on shared infrastructure. Enterprise provides customer-only addresses and dedicated proxy resources when the contract requires exclusivity.

Scope: This integration gives enterprise applications a stable destination for reaching Keygen Cloud. It is not the outbound-proxy pattern used when an application needs a stable source IP to call another protected service.
