QuotaGuard gives customer-controlled applications a managed outbound identity for OpenAI API calls. Add both assigned QuotaGuard addresses to OpenAI's project- or organization-level IP allowlist, then route the application's OpenAI requests through QuotaGuard. OpenAI accepts requests from the approved sources and rejects off-list traffic even when a valid API key is presented.

- Two stable source addresses: QuotaGuard provides a load-balanced pair of static outbound IPs. Register both addresses so normal routing and failover remain authorized.
- Selective OpenAI routing: Configure the OpenAI SDK or HTTP client to use QuotaGuard while unrelated database, OAuth, webhook, and third-party traffic keeps its normal route.
- Managed infrastructure: QuotaGuard operates the proxy infrastructure, health monitoring, capacity, maintenance, load balancing, and failover. Your team does not inherit another NAT Gateway, VPN, or proxy VM to maintain.
- Portable network identity: Keep the same approved OpenAI source addresses through application deploys, autoscaling events, and supported hosting-platform migrations.
- Another layer beyond the API key: OpenAI's allowlist restricts where a valid key can be used. Continue using server-side secret storage, project boundaries, least privilege, rotation, and strong account security.
- Shared or dedicated addresses: Standard plans provide stable shared IP pairs. Enterprise provides customer-only addresses and dedicated proxy resources when an exclusive network identity is required.
Scope: This integration covers customer-controlled applications calling the OpenAI API. It does not change the source address of traffic originating inside OpenAI-hosted ChatGPT or Codex infrastructure.
